Retail is on its way into the mobile computer era

After the computer age comes the mobile computer era. The on-the-go equipment is getting more and more multifaceted. Simple cell phones make room for smartphones and Tablet PCs with touch-screens can replace the PC at home and in the office. And retail is also getting more and more mobile – in its own processes as well as in its communication with the customers. Communication, dialog and mobile interaction will change everyday life of consumers.

Nordic ID is one of the leading European providers of mobile computers and handheld terminals for mobile data collection (MDE) and mobile RFID applications. The company’s headquarters are in Salo, Finland. As Managing Director, Lothar Struckmann manages the German-speaking countries from the Herford location. He lists Adidas, Gerry Weber, Coop, Fressnapf, Kaiser´s Tengelmann, Rossmann and Spar as reference customers.

André Reif, born in 1978, founded MyMobai in 2008 together with his schoolmate André Richter. The company with locations in Leipzig and Dresden develops business models and applications for mobile devices. By now, MyMobai sees itself as the German market leader in Mobile Couponing. Richter says, his network currently has a range of 1.86 million users. MyMobai distributes discount coupons by Europcar, Hertz, O2, Subway and ImmobilienScout24 for instance.
