“By using the digital signs, our shop immediately looks tidier and more valuable. We are thrilled with how quick and easy the setup is, and it can be implemented directly on the shelf. Additionally, the price tags save our team a lot of time when changing prices, as the merchandise does not need to be relabeled,” reports Kai Willimsohn (Store Manager at CALUMET Photographic). The various label sizes allow all desired labeling requirements to be implemented professionally and easily. In the stores in Dresden and Hamburg, four different sizes of the Chroma Aeon series ( Chroma 21, 29, 42, and 74 ) are used. Starting with the Chroma 21, which are used on wall hooks (whether slotted or perforated walls), to the large Chroma 74, which have enough space for detailed information.
Thanks to the interface between the inventory management system and Delfi’s software, the price tags always display the current prices and are immediately updated in case of price changes. Offers and promotions are also automatically uploaded, saving employees from having to place them on shelves or merchandise during work hours. Consequently, the introduction in store number 3 in Nuremberg is already planned and will be implemented shortly.
The BreeceGo app from Delfi Technologies makes it easy for Calumet employees to manage the digital price tags. The app allows the retailer to link products and tags directly on the shelf. Even layout changes to the designs on the tags can be made via the app. “Our staff is thrilled with how easy it is to operate the digital price tags. Even new products are uploaded into the tagging system via the existing company smartphone,” reports Kai Willimsohn. This saves a lot of time for competent customer service.
Delfi Technologies’ antennas communicate with the digital price tags via a radio frequency, ensuring a stable connection that transmits current prices and product information to the tags. The antennas are easy to install and have a high range — up to 5000 m² per antenna. For the sales areas in Hamburg and Dresden, each with around 400 square meters, this means that one antenna is sufficient for the entire area.
