Distributed Order Management System

The heart of the fulfillmenttools platform is the Distributed Order Management System (DOMS). With DOMS, incoming online orders are assigned to the optimal fulfillment location based on smart routing rules such as "shortest route to the customer" - regardless of whether it's a store or a shipping warehouse. Like this, orders are delivered to the customer via the fastest route. In addition, (short-term) available resources in the store, for example due to forced, temporary store closures, can be used optimally.

Click & Collect solution

Customers increasingly want to order online, but still pick up the goods in store. We support both Click & Collect and Click & Reserve to give customers the option of examining and paying for the goods on site. For quality assurance purposes, the customer can confirm the items again in store and mark them as picked up.  The module is seamlessly integrated with our picking solution and is almost self-explanatory to use.

In-Store Fulfillment / Picking

With the Picking App, store employees are supported in picking orders in the store and guided step by step through the process. Thanks to a detailed description of the work steps and images and barcodes of the products stored in the app, errors can be minimized and processes accelerated. Inventory management makes it just as easy to view and correct store inventories. With the help of the intuitively designed user interface, the app is also easy to use and can be introduced without much training.

  • Easy product identification: Product images and the scan function simplify the picking process for staff, making it quick and easy to identify the exact product and minimize errors.
  • Inventory management in store: The employees in the store have the possibility to view stocks for articles at the location level and also to correct them in the system.
  • Flexible picking: The app offers the option of pausing or even canceling picking processes, for example if they need to serve a customer in store.

Supply Chain Awards 2021: fulfillmenttools honoured with Smart Solution Award

The winners of the Supply Chain Awards 2021 have been selected. This year LOGISTIK HEUTE, Strategy& and PwC presented the Supply Chain Management Award for the 16th time. The winner of the Smart Solution Award, which was bestowed for the fourth time, is fulfillmenttools. The award honors particularly innovative concepts that are still at an early stage of implementation and have the potential to fundamentally change traditional value chains in the future.

The Supply Chain Awards 2021 were handed over on 18 November as part of a gala prize-giving ceremony broadcasted live from Frankfurt am Main. The audience was particularly called upon to help judge the presentations of eight companies competing for the Supply Chain Awards. As in previous years, the audience’s vote was also taken into account in the jury’s decision-making process. The jury, consisting of supply chain professionals, academics, consultants and industry media representatives, made their selection from the finalists who were chosen after auditing comprising.
